Long term care (LTC) insurance covers a client who requires assistance with daily living. It covers services typically not covered by health insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid, such as home care, assisted living, adult daycare, hospice care and nursing homes. They are unable to perform two of the six activities of daily living as described by healthcare professionals: dressing, bathing, toileting, continence, getting in/out of bed, and walking.
